Power Acoustik Farenheit Q2-1800
Two Channel High Power Amplifier
Overview
2000 is the year of Farenheit as Power Acoustik introduces their heavy-hitting new Farenheit Series amplifiers. Just pick up one of these Die Cast chassis monsters, and you'll know they mean business. With a Plexi-View top panel and a smoked Titanium Chrome finish, these amplifiers look and sound as good as they feel. Power Acoustik backs up the beauty and brawn with a host of high-end features, including full MOSFET P.W.M. (pulse width modulated) power supplies, selectable fully variable 40-300 Hz high- and low-pass crossovers, and three-way protection circuitry with System Distress Indicator. The Farenheit Series is easy to install too, with high level inputs and 4-gauge power and ground connections. If you want to heat up the bass in your car, Farenheit can crank it up a few degrees with a selectable 18 dB Bass Boost at 40 Hz, tri-mode capability, and 2 ohm stability (stereo).

"I've owned a Q21800 for close to a year now, and must say it is a fantastic amp for the money, and really only have a few dislikes about it. First off, this is a really solid amplifier. It puts out quite a bit of power for the price you will be paying for it, and although I feel the max power rating is a bit harder to believe, the RMS ratings (I feel) are pretty accurate. Wiring is simple, with power and ground terminals accepting up to 4 gauge wire, although I did have to take the little plate off of the screws to fit the terminals I got. You must have a good sized wire running to this amp with power and ground, as this amp draws a lot of current. I recommend a capacitor of some sort to back this amp up. The only bad thing about this amp is the internal crossovers. This is a fantastic amp, but to get the best quality sound from it, I feel it would be best to use an external crossover. The only other thing I did not like was the fact that it will only do 4 ohm mono. It isn't really a huge qualm of mine, but I have a Farenheit CK-12D wired in 2 ohms, and would really like to see it with more power. Not a huge deal in my opinion.
Bottom line: Fantastic amplifier for the money, poor crossover, and you must have good quality RCA's running to this, as there may be a little distortion when you put the Bass Boost on."
This auction is for a used Farenheit Q2-1800. The amplifier works flawlessly even though it is used. The only problem with it is that the top metal plate has become corroded and so I took it off completely (see actual picture below). I will be including the plate with this purchase so you may paint it or put it back on. This amp works very well and was used to drive dual 12" woofers, which it did very nicely. I have to part with it since I got a new car and am abandoning my system.
